TCYHA Board Elections
by posted 05/18/2012

TCYHA Family,

Elections for open Board positions were held this past Wednesday at our annual open membership meeting.  Please join me in thanking our new and existing Board members for their service.  The commitment of time and labor by our Board members is what makes our program a success.

We'd like to specially recognize Andy Stephens for his service as President for the past four years.  As most of you know, Andy has poured a significant amount of energy into improving and growing our program.  We're now starting to see the payoff of those efforts in our growing membership.  For the 2012-2013 season we will be having two Mite teams, three Squirt teams, two PeeWee teams, and two Bantams teams.  Each of these teams is at a healthy level and represents excellent growth for our program.  We also held a very successful House Hockey program last season that will repeat this year and are looking forward to creating a Late Bloomers program this season to offer hockey to older kids who may not have started so young.  Andy's efforts along with the rest of the Board are a big driver of that.  Although Andy is no longer President, he will be staying on as Bantam Director.

Please join me in welcoming the rest of our recently elected Board members.

Board Position Member
President (interim) Ken Howlett

Valley Hockey League Director John Thibault
Coaches Rep Michael Gendron
Midget Director Tony Urraro

House Hockey Director John Schultz

Volunteers Needed for TCYHA Golf Tournament on Jun 29th
by posted 05/14/2012

TCYHA Family,

We're still looking for volunteers for our 6th Annual Twin City Youth Hockey Association Golf Tournament being held at Townsend Ridge CC on Friday June 29th at 8:30am.  TCYHA is an all-volunteer organization and this is our primary fundraiser for the year.  The money we raise at this tournament goes directly towards offsetting the costs of player participation.  Without it, we would have either higher tuition or more invasive fundraising.  Your participation is critical!

If you think that you can help out the day of the event or you can help bring in sponsors, please respond to either or or stop by the TCYHA Board Open Membership Meeting on Wednesday May 16th at 7pm at the Fitchburg Fire Station.

Thank You,
TCYHA Board

Don’t golf, but would like to come out to join us? We have a dinner-only option for $35.

Don’t golf, can’t volunteer, can’t join us for dinner…but would like to help, how about sponsorship or donor recruiting.

Sponsorship recruiting – Help bring in sponsors, which would be a cash donation.  See our Sponsorship form.

Donor/Donation recruiting – You may know a business/retailer that would like to donate their services (a day at a local Spa) or product ($50 gift certificate).

  • Bring in a sponsor that contributes cash and get 10% of that value credited to your TCYHA account. For example, $150 cash donation = $15 credit.
  • Get a local business/retailer to donate a gift card/gift certificate and get 5% of that value credited to your TCYHA account. For example $100 certificate = $5 credit.

Two ways to get sponsors:
  • Download the “Sponsor letter and application” form, and send to your sponsor.
  • Download the “Donor lead form”.  Let us know if you need us to follow up with the lead by emailing us ( ).

We will also have raffles and silent auctions for the above items that get donated. Last year’s silent auction items included Bruins/Red Sox tickets, various summer hockey camps and two (2) night stay at Misty Harbor Barefoot Beach Resort on Lake Winnipesaukee.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the golf tournament.

Hope to see you on…or at, the links in Townsend on Friday June 29th.

Thanks

TCYHA Injury Policy
by posted 04/02/2012

TCYHA Family,

As the season winds to a close, we would like to briefly address our injury policy.
In the players' best interests, any injury that results in a player missing games or receiving treatment by a physician requires a clearance note from a physician before the player will be allowed back on the ice.  This note will also serve to close out the accident form that is generated at the time of injury, and will be kept in confidence.

While we do not wish to place an additional burden on you, such prudence is required for the long-term health of all of our children.

Thank you for your cooperation.

If you have any questions, please contact your division director or the players representative in person, or email the appropriate one at:
